1 · Acceptance
Access to and use of this site implies acceptance of these terms. No registration is required and no charge is made. The operator is identified in the legal notice.
2 · Permitted use
The site may be consulted, linked to and quoted. The following are not permitted: any use that interferes with the operation of the service or with its availability to other users; automated access at a rate that degrades the service; and presenting the content as the work of a third party.
3 · Status of the underlying facts
The competition results published here are facts. Under Directive 96/9/EC as interpreted by the Court of Justice of the European Union in Fixtures Marketing (2004) and Football Dataco v Yahoo (C-604/10, 2012), the sui generis database right does not extend to the creation of the data contained in a database, and copyright protection of a database concerns its structure and not its contents.
Consequently, no exclusive right is claimed over the facts themselves, and none is acknowledged in favour of the competition organisers in respect of those facts.
4 · Rights claimed by the operator
The operator claims the rights arising from the substantial investment made in obtaining, verifying and presenting the compilation: transcription of published records in Japanese, Chinese and English, reconciliation of divergent names for the same competitor, verification of each figure against the source that published it, and identification of the data that has never been published.
The operator also claims copyright in the editorial text, the photographic and video material produced by it, and the design of the site.
5 · Conditions for reuse
Individual facts may be reused without restriction. Reuse of a substantial part of the compilation is subject to the following conditions:
- Attribution to MECHDOJO, with a link to the page from which the material is taken.
- Retention of the source identifier accompanying each figure, so that the chain to the publishing organiser is not broken.
- Data marked as unpublished must not be presented as a value. Supplying a figure in place of such a marker and attributing it to this site constitutes misattribution.
A formal licence has not yet been adopted. Until one is, the three conditions above apply. Requests for broader permissions should be addressed to the contact in the legal notice.
6 · Third-party rights
- Video and broadcast material
- Owned by the competition organisers and their broadcast partners. It is embedded from the channels on which those parties publish it and is not re-hosted. Edits produced by the operator carry an on-screen credit identifying the source visible in the material.
- Photographs
- Frames from that material, credited to the source that published it and used to illustrate reporting on the event depicted.
- Names and marks
- ROBO-ONE, URKL, REK, UFB, CMG, the World Humanoid Robot Games, EngineAI, Unitree, Booster Robotics and other names and marks belong to their respective proprietors and are used to identify the entities and products they designate. No endorsement or association is implied.
Rights holders who consider that material has been used incorrectly should contact the address in the legal notice.
7 · Accessibility
The site is built to WCAG 2.1 AA and each deployment is checked automatically against that standard. This is a voluntary commitment: the operator is not a party obliged under Law 11/2023, whose Article 2.2 contains a closed list of services that does not include a digital medium of this kind.
8 · Amendments
These terms may be amended. The date of the current version is stated at the top of this page.
