The state of the record
Three languages. One record. Nobody has read it whole.
Forty-three bouts in Chinese, posted as brackets by the World Humanoid Robot Games. Twelve events and five champions in English, inside REK's own site. Eighty editions in Japanese, as scanned images, going back to 2014. Three records, every one of them real, and no two of them have ever been read side by side. MECHDOJO reads all three.

The leagues
| League | Base | Control | Documented bouts | What we can say |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| URKL Ultimate Humanoid Robot Knockout League | China | Autonomous | 1 | Shenzhen, 16 July 2026. One bout on record, and the most completely documented single bout in the sport. But the reason there is only one is not secrecy: URKL has published its qualifying rules in laboratory detail and has not published the format of the fighting tournament at all. Its own rulebook leaves that section as «to be announced». |
| CMG Mecha Fighting | China | Not established ° | 2 | World Robot Contest, Hangzhou, 25 May 2025. Two bouts with a named winner, no score for either. |
| REK | United States | Mixed | 1 | San Francisco. Twelve events across two years, five with a named champion, and never a date announced in advance. REK publishes what happened, never what is coming — and, alone in this sport, it publishes how the scoring works down to the g-force. |
| UFB | United States | Teleoperated | 1 | UFB 4, Venice Beach. One title fight on record and no result sheet: the only account of it is a line in a news story. |
| WHRG World Humanoid Robot Games | China | Mixed | 43 | Beijing 2026, National Speed Skating Oval. On 26 August 2026 the organiser published official result bulletins as PDFs: full brackets for free combat at 40, 58 and 80 kg, with the winner, the score and the method of every bout. Forty-six entrants, no disqualifications, forty-three bouts. It is the first primary record in this sport published by the body that ran it. |
| ROBO-ONE | Japan | Teleoperated | archive | Running since 2002. This archive covers 2014-2026: 80 editions and 3,115 results, every one with its source. |
“Documented” means a bout whose winner we can point at a published source for — never an estimate of how many were held. The World Humanoid Robot Games figure comes from the three brackets its organiser published; seven of the forty-three are transcribed here bout by bout, and the other two draws arrive as podiums because the team names run off the edge of the source PDF.
The fight record
48 bouts with a winner we can trace to a source, and 12 of them transcribed in full — both fighters, the score, the method and the machine.
And then there is the archive
48 bouts in the modern circuit against 3,115 results in the Japanese one, going back to 2014 — every one of them traced to the page its organiser published it on.
