It hung from the torso, the bout carried on, and it came away completely when the robot fell and crushed it under its own weight. Matador kept fighting and won. Store only the winner and you lose the reason anyone watched.

    How this record is counted

    “Documented” means a bout whose winner we can point at a published source for. It is never an estimate of how many were held: that figure does not exist anywhere and we do not invent it. The World Humanoid Robot Games contributes 43 of the total, counted from the three brackets its organiser published, and the 80 kg draw is the one transcribed bout by bout — it is the only one of the three that reads end to end in the source PDF.
